Jazz & Phil

Last Thursday my sister, Jenni, invited Austin and I to go to the Jazz game. Thanks to her and her hubby, Cordell, we scored lower bowl tickets--row 19! This was pretty much our few just a few seats higher. It was such a good game. Cantor was on fire!  It got us all pumped for the season. According to Cordell, this is the year baby.  Let's hope!

To my surprise, Phil was there from Modern Family.  I got so excited, we love to watch Modern Family, and Austin loves Phil. He's a hoot! Turns out he actually lives here half the year with his family. I so badly wanted to take a picture just of him, but my phone died (I always feel bad with how swarmed they get everywhere they go. I just wanted proof he was there.)  But there he is.

Probably the highlight of my week, just below Aubri taking 3 STEPS! She is dying to walk. I am thinking definitely by the time she turns 1--scary to think that.  She is such a peanut.

Good Eats

Pinterest has become my best friend lately. Actually, it has become the entire families new favorite thing. Particularly the food. I have made at least ten new recipes over the month and I would say they are all keepers. They delicious, easy and did I mention delicious? I just had to share these scrumptious recipes to everyone out there!

Avocado, Bacon, Cream Cheese, Green Onion, & Tomato Sandwich

I haven't tried that many desserts because most desserts made from scratch are super hard to convert to gluten free, and I am just not brave enough to try it yet. But I will probably break down and try soon. There are just too many divine looking desserts on there!

10 Months Old

Its crazy to think that in two short months, Aubri will be turning ONE. While we are ecstatic for her to turn one, we wish she would stop  growing up so fast. She already has 8 teeth! Can you believe that?  We sure can, I mean we do have the bite marks to prove it! (We have become her teething rings.) She would be walking if it wasn't for her twiggy little ankles. She loves to say Mama all day long. She is quiet the ham as well. She love to pester Aunti Em, and her Mama.  I don't know why, but she only does it to us. I do have to admit that Emma gets it a lot worse.  Her favorite food is yogurt, by far. She also loves homemade fries both sweet and idaho potato. She loves going on walks and playing at the park right by our new place. She has discovered that she has a voice and gets more talkative each day! We are just so in love with her.

On her 10 Month birthday, she woke up sick that night with the horrible stomach virus that is going on around. She just started feeling better yesterday, thankfully! Now, if only she would sleep through the night, it would be amazing. (We are starting to ferberize her tonight. While also sticking to a very strict routine daytime routine. If you have any tips, we welcome them!

Robin Egg Blue

As I mentioned on my last post, we've moved. We love our new place, and I am enjoying making it our home.  We painted our walls Baja Dunes by Benjamin Moore--I have an obsession with all of their paints. Its a soft gray/tan color that goes well with so many colors.  I painted our kitchen table the other day, and it just turned out perfect! Its close to a robin egg blue. Our kitchen/family room colors are robin egg blue, navy, and cream. With a pop of cranberry here and there. Its so nice and fresh. I am in love with it!

This colder weather makes it even more motivating to do crafts and be thrifty with our decor.  And no one can complain about that,  not even the hubby. Hope you are all enjoying this wonderful fall weather. I know we are!

P.S. If you have any ideas of what I can put next to our antique window, please share!

Life

We  have been insanely busy these last few weeks. When Aubri and I got home from Disneyland,we packed up the house and moved into our new place. We absolutely love it here. But with moving from one place to another, comes  unpacking and getting settled in.  I am still in the process of decorating it though. Its coming along great. We just bought a new couch and love it! I am also painting furniture, everything is coming along great and has that cottage feel to it.

On top of moving, I woke up Sunday with a swollen face, and went to the dentist the next morning. A week or so before, my tooth broke off (Having glass like teeth is a wonderful characteristic of Celiacs) And it had become infected. Well, to make a long story short, I had to go to an oral surgeon to get it removed and have been recovering since. While I haven't felt much pain, the pain medications are kicking my butt, things are looking up though.

Other than that, we are all doing wonderful! We love our wonderful new home and are looking forward to the holidays! (Aubri is going to be a kitty for Halloween, and who knows what we will be.) I promise to post picture of our house soon and all the other pictures we have taken over the last little bit. Until then, take care!
