OneRepublic Concert

Saturday evening Austin and I headed to Park City for the OneRepublic concert. We are avid fans of the band and own all of their CD's.  They are incredible. I was ecstatic when Austin surprised me with tickets on our anniversary in June. He's still keeps me on my toes 5 years later.

Honestly, hands down one of my all time favorite date night with my sweet husband. We kicked it off with dinner at Reyes Adobe.  It was delicious authentic Mexican food, so yummy I'd drive there right now just for a bite. (Did I mention they had a huge gluten free selection too?)  After that, we hopped on the Park City lift and relaxed taking in the view and smell. (It had just rained so the pine trees smelt glorious.)

After our relaxing lift ride, we went to the concert and soaked in the music at the Deer Valley Amphitheater. Good entertainment, from both the musician and crowd, and great company. Can't wait to go again next year!

Bubbles

Bubbles, bubbles, bubbles is all I hear from this girl. She loves them. She wants them in her bath, in the air floating around her at all times and to be blowing them by herself like a big girl. Its the first thing she says to me in the morning.  Now that I am working I love these little moments with her. These times just feel our hearts with so much happiness. Here's to more bubble-like memories with this adorable little girl.

4th of July Weekend

This year, we took off to the family cabin up in Oakley for the 4th of July Week/Weekend. It was such a nice relaxing time. We slept, ate good food, shopped til we dropped, fished, hiked, jogged, played at the river and just hung out with Austin's side of the family. It was a blast. By the best 4th of July in a long time.

To top it all off, we went to the Oakley Rodeo on the 4th, which Roo loved! She also got to see her first firework show. Saying that she loved them, is a complete understatement. She was in complete awe the entire time. ( Of course I forgot my camera at the cabin so I don't have any decent pictures of this to share, sorry!)So here are a couple of shots of our getaway when I did have my camera on me. Enjoy!

It was nice a hummid the first day up there. Every night it was thunder and lightening. We loved every second of it!

According to Roo, this spot has the only dirt in the entire world. Ha, I love toddlers!

I was just like her when I was little...naked at every chance possible.
Cute Brooke braving the river. It was FREEZING!
Brooke and I about to head down the river. Then we saw a snake and I chickened out! I am absolutely terrified of snakes,
Watching Dylan and Grandpa fishing. Keep word..watching.

18 Months

I know I always say this, but its hard to believe Aubri is already 18 months old. Some days I feel like she's older than that. She is growing in every aspect of her life. She dances, runs, walks, spins and knows all her body parts. She is a babbling baboon that I can finally understand. Just the other day, she said bottle, and then went to the fridge and said milk. Its so cute. She's a little parrot. Says everything  we teach her, its adorable. My favorite word she says is bellybutton. She only whisper it. Melts my heart!

This phase is just so much fun. Aubri truly is such a well behaved little girl. She is obedient, listens and understands what we say to her and has a funny sense of humor.  She loves going swimming, going on walks, playing with her Daddy and aunties. Its easy to say that this girl has stolen everyone's heart!

Ander-fun Family Pictures

Oh my goodness, I have been absolutely horrible with updating our family blog lately. We moved, and then moved again, and I started working for the most amazing dental office out there. (More on that later.) But anyways, in the middle of all of that, Austin's sister Kate left on her mission to South Carolina. Which we are all thrilled for. But because she left on her mission, and Dylan will be leaving on his mission next summer, it will nearly be 3 years before the entire family is back together again. You know what that means right? Family pictures! They turned out fantastic. If you are looking for an incredible photographer, I have just the one for you. Sweet Lilacs Photography. Nikki is the greatest and has an amazing eye for photography.

So here is a glimpse at our family pictures we took with the Anderson side of the family:

This is mine and Austin's favorite. Its his family's front porch. Isn't it just perfect?

The biggest smile she would let us capture on camera. Love her!

Need A Workout?

I have been toying with the idea of doing cross fit for a while now.  I absolutely love working out. Especially strength training. Cardio, not so much. Before I had Aubri, I was hands down in the best shape of my life, thanks to my fantastic trainer, Dan.  I loved it and I was dedicated. Well, its been two years since I have seriously hit the gym hard. And I need to get back in shape desperately. Not just to look good, but to feel good! I love all that feel good energy, confidence and happiness that comes along with working out.

Today, I finally took the plunge and tried crossfit. I loved it! While yes, I got my butt kicked. (Shows you how out of shape I am. Honestly though, its insane how hard it is to get back in shape after a baby!) I completed it 3 times. I cannot tell you how happy I was when I heard that timer go off. I literally laid on the ground for a good ten minutes after. Then I finally pulled my jello body to the bathroom to get ready for the day.

If you know of any other great crossfit workouts, send them my way!

Chicks & Bunny

We had Easter pictures of Aubri taken a few weeks ago, and they turned out darling! She loved on the bunny, but wanted nothing to do with the chicks because they just talked they whole time.  I wish we would have gotten more pictures of her smiling, but she wasn't feeling the best and wanted to play outside, rather than sit inside posing for pictures.

Its apparent that Aubri thinks smiling in pictures is a sign of weakness or something. She will be all smiles and giggles until she is expected to smile on demand.
We are so excited for Easter coming up in two weeks. I've been buying things for her basket, as well as Austin's. Its hard not to buy her everything. Especially clothes, because she gets to excited and loves them so much! The necklace she is wearing in the pictures was a huge hit! She loves to wear and usually wears it from the moment she wakes up, to the second she goes to sleep. She is exactly how I was when I was little, just a little more overboard and not so tacky. lol

Spring is Here

It has been so long since I posted last. We are all alive and absolutely loving this beautiful weather we have had lately. Everyday we go outside and walk around, eat bark, swing our hearts away and climb the play ground until our limbs can no longer move.  I can already tell that this is what our life will  be like every day this summer, and I am 100% happy about it. I don't particularly like being couped up inside all day.

Yesterday, we took full advantage of the 70* weather. We headed up to Alpine and had a picnic with Bre and Braylee at the Creekside Park (If you haven't been there, its a must. Its ginormous  It has tennis courts, basketball courts, endless views of green grass in every direction . It decked out with state-of-the art playgrounds and a spectacular splash pad, which we can't wait to use this summer!) The girls loved playing outside. They didn't care much for the playground. They preferred to meander around the trails picking up rocks, sticks and playing with the dirt.

I am just loving the age Aubri is at. It has been so much fun! Just yesterday after the afternoon at the park, I put her down for her afternoon nap, I went to get her out after she woke up and I was amazed at what I walked into. Aubri had stripped down naked in her crib. She took her shirt, socks, and diaper completely off. And to put the cherry on top, she peed in the corner of her crib. Oh my.  But I still adore and love my peanut.

Our life has been so crazy lately, but we truly are so happy and blessed with the life we have been given.  I am currently taking a Dental Assisting course (Which I love, and will be finished in April!) Austin is doing fantastic at work, and as always is a spectacular husband and father. We have been house shopping for six months or so. At this point, we are leaning more towards building our home, and  have officially decided to make the move from Utah county to Salt Lake county.  Which we are both thrilled about, and we are positive Aubri will love a bigger home with stairs to run around in and won't tell the difference. I'll keep trying to post more often, but its hard to take time away from my cute family to do so. Feel free to follow us both on InstaGram, for more frequent postings, tanders620 & ando3.

Our Valentine

Umm...can I just say this girl is gorgeous, beyond gorgeous. Like its not even fair. She has such a beautiful personality, and has the most lush lips, deep blue eyes and perfect skin. We fall more in love with this adorable girl each day. It blows our mind that on Friday, she will be 14 months! So bizarre how fast time flies when you have a little tyke toddling around your house. We are loving her babbling self.

We had her pictures taken for Valentine's Day--and I loved every single one! If you want to see more, check out mine or Austin's Facebook. Each one is breath taking. I can see why my friend Bre is a photography addict!:) I can't wait to get her Easter pictures done, too. The middle of march just can't come fast enough!

Signing Time

Our cute little Roo has turned into a spounge when it comes to learning new things. She already has picked up so much in such a short time. She signs thank you, please, food, drink, milk, and more on top of all the other signs she knows. She also has started to get herself dressed. She loves sweaters, jackets and coats. And she'll  wear all three if possible. We are just so in love and adore all the new little  things she is doing. She is such an add ducks at times.

Milk & Cookies

Well, we are officially back to working mode in our home. After our computer crashed, we wanted to fix it rather than buy a brand new one. We ended up fixing it and buying a new one. So we are now,two for two. Hooray! Anyways, I am so backed up on blogging, its not even funny. So I thought I would just jump into Aubri's big birthday bash we had for her! It turned out fantastic and we were surrounded by loved ones. It was perfect!

She wasn't a big fan of the frosting. She kept trying to fling it off her hand and just never got into the whole, smashing the cake. Silly girl.  She does however, love to eat cookies and milk with her Daddy, as often as we will let her.  Because of this, we had a Milk and Cookies themed birthday. It turned out so cute and perfect! Aubri is pretty shy when she is in a crowd. She clings tight to me and stays right by my side. Even if she knows everyone there.

She has turned into such a fun, loving toddler. We are loving and enjoying every second of it. I think my favorite thing she has started to do is say "Mmmmm" when I head for the kitchen and grab a snack or meal for her. Its the cutest thing. She also loves to wash herself in the tub. She lathers up the soap in her hand and rubs her baby belly and anywhere else she can reach. It melts your heart! I'll post more about that in its own post.

So far the new year has been great! Other than this single digit weather...we are all in thermals and hoodies everyday all day, with the heater cranked. We just can't seemed to stay warm!  All we can say is we are ready for spring and warmer weather. Just warm enough where we can go on a walk. Is that too much to ask for?

From The Anderson's

Excuse our informal Christmas card. I never got around to actually making our cards until today. So its safe to say, these won't be printed and sent out this year. Next year is sounding more doable.  We have a teething one year old (all four molars at the same time.) On top of that, she had shots on Monday. Its been an emotional week for the babes.  Wish us luck that we will survive. Its testing all our patience.

Under the Sink

Aubri is what we like to call a professional mess maker. She can take a perfectly clean room, drawer or cabinet and make it look like a hurricane has it. He place of choice lately has been the cabinet under the sink in our bathroom. She clean it out enough just so she can go sit inside--Indian style.  Good thing we love her more than she can imagine, or we wouldn't let her do it. She babbles up a storm, laughing and giggling her way through. She is hilarious to watch and listen to at all times of the day. But she just seems to come to life while making a mess.  I'll trade her happiness for cleanliness any day.

One Year Older

This beautiful girl turned one yesterday! Its hard to believe that it has already been a year. We have truly enjoyed this fun-loving, energetic, happy , sweet girl!  The day was very enjoyable for all three of us. We started the day off by singing happy birthday to her--multiple times, I might add. After her morning nap, we decked her out head to toe for her birthday lunch at the Nordstrom Bistro.(She loves their fries and olive-yogurt dip. We like to say she has mature taste buds.) She munched on all our dishes and ventured out to the fish tank, which she loved!

As far as what she is doing now....

She is pretty much walking. She walks to and from things that are no less than 10 steps away. But while doing so, she much be carrying at least two things in her hands. She loves stuffed animals and her baby more than anything else. She now says Dad, Daddy, No, Ya, and Shh. She loves to play hide and seek, peek-a-boo, and chase.  And most of all, she loves to go to Target. (I honestly can say we go everyday.) She loves, loves, loves clothes and gets excited when we buy new ones. So excited that she carries them around and tries to put them on for a good hour afterwards.  She has grown so much in the last year and we just fall more in love with this sweet, quirky girl everyday. We are excited and nervous for what the next year will bring us with her! (We are dreading the tantrum stage--hopefully we skip it!) We love you Aubri Roo, and hope you had a wonderful birthday!

11 Months

We have been going non-stop the last few weeks. And it doesn't look like it will be stoping anytime soon. In addition to that, our laptop crashed so I snagged my Dad's laptop to just give everyone a quick update on Roo.

-She is so close to walking! She has taken 6 steps at most so far. She just doesn't want to get off those tip toes of hers.

-She is a babbling, talking little girl and goes non-stop. I like to call her hurricane Aubri because she can make the biggest mess in a matter of seconds.

-She claps, smacks her lips, raises the roof, plays catch, loves to play hide and seek.

-As far as talking goes, she says Mama, Dada, Ma (Austins main name she calls him, so funny.) More, and she has started to sign more, Mom and Dad. Just this morning she was working the the J and G sound...maybe she is getting ready to say Jenni? Or Grandma?

We just adore our little peanut. She has finally gained back her weight (She lost 2 pounds while she was sick for a while. Broke my heart.) She is becoming more and more alive.  We love her funny personality.. We are celebrating her first thanksgiving this week and her first birthday party on Sunday! We know it early, but December is just too busy with all the parties going on. Wish us luck that we surivie. We have some great things planned and can't wait to share!

Halloween 2012

Halloween was a busy one this year.   All of our friends are avid Halloween lovers.  This year was the first time we have ever  dressed up.  Neither are into it.  So we dressed up as a herd of cows. Pretty classic, right?

Aubri made the cutest calf ever! I couldn't resist putting a pink bow on her costume.
Aubri, Bre and Braylee. These girlies are BFF's and love playing with eachother.

Checking out eachothers costumes. Aubri was very skeptical of all the costumes.
Yesteryday, we had to take Aubri to the doctor. She got her second flu booster and was being checked because she has nothing but the runs lately (3-4 times a day.) Turns out she has lost 2 pounds, in two weeks and we put her on lactose formula for the next week or so. Thankfully, our wonderful pediatrician loaded us up on formula so we won't have to buy any for a while. Thank you Dr. Johnson!!  But between her stomach and the shot, she was a emotional and exhausted. So she was down for bed at 6:30.  At least she got to go to trick-or-treating at Austin's work party.

Aubri and Bray experienced their first bounce house party. And they loved it!! Aubri is a thrill seeker and this is her kind of "toy".  We hope everyone enjoyed their Halloween! Because we sure did. (We watched the Jazz game, GO JAZZ!!)
