Restin' Up

I've been on bedrest now for the past two weeks. And before that, I was taking it really easy for a month. Now, its not strict bedrest, its called modified bedrest.  I can still work 15 hours a week because I do data entry.  I can make a quick meal--which is unheard of in the gluten free world. I can get up to go to the bathroom and thats pretty much it.  I'm not suppose to do anything that can get my heart rate up or blood pressure.

This has been extemely hard for me.  I am in panic because the nursery isn't complete.
I don't have meals frozen like I wanted for when she does get here and the list goes on and on.  My amazing family has been helping out a ton though--so THANK YOU! It means the world to us.

Now you are probably wondering why I'm on bedrest to begin with.  It all started back in October.  Up until then, I had only gained 15 pounds, which wasn't bad for 7 months.
Then all of the sudden my weight gain increased dramatically, my blood pressure was through the roof and I had this horrible pain in my side.  And I was feeling really funny--like I was drugged or something.

So the doctors started running a bunch of tests.  Checking all my major organs.  Blood draws and 24 hour urine tests, non-stress tests.  They ruled out preeclampsia and blood clots in my liver, thankfully.  But they did find fluids around my kidneys and that the baby was measuring small at first and then suddenly stopped growing.

For all we know, she got tired of growing and took a week off. So we go back next week to check everything again.  I've felt so much better since being on bedrest.  My blood pressure is perfect--and I mean perfect.  And I've stopped gaining weight as well.
I've just been bouncing between two pounds back and forth.  I will loose two pounds, and then gain them back.

So right now, everything is looking good.  We are just playing the waiting game to see when she decides to actually come. Honestly, a week or two early would be really nice  :)

Nursery Inspiration

I've been trying to decide how to decorate the nursery for a while now. Birds, flowers, owls or butterflies? There are so many options.  I am going for a whimsy, girly theme and this is what I decided to base everything off of.
