From The Anderson's

Excuse our informal Christmas card. I never got around to actually making our cards until today. So its safe to say, these won't be printed and sent out this year. Next year is sounding more doable.  We have a teething one year old (all four molars at the same time.) On top of that, she had shots on Monday. Its been an emotional week for the babes.  Wish us luck that we will survive. Its testing all our patience.

Under the Sink

Aubri is what we like to call a professional mess maker. She can take a perfectly clean room, drawer or cabinet and make it look like a hurricane has it. He place of choice lately has been the cabinet under the sink in our bathroom. She clean it out enough just so she can go sit inside--Indian style.  Good thing we love her more than she can imagine, or we wouldn't let her do it. She babbles up a storm, laughing and giggling her way through. She is hilarious to watch and listen to at all times of the day. But she just seems to come to life while making a mess.  I'll trade her happiness for cleanliness any day.

One Year Older

This beautiful girl turned one yesterday! Its hard to believe that it has already been a year. We have truly enjoyed this fun-loving, energetic, happy , sweet girl!  The day was very enjoyable for all three of us. We started the day off by singing happy birthday to her--multiple times, I might add. After her morning nap, we decked her out head to toe for her birthday lunch at the Nordstrom Bistro.(She loves their fries and olive-yogurt dip. We like to say she has mature taste buds.) She munched on all our dishes and ventured out to the fish tank, which she loved!

As far as what she is doing now....

She is pretty much walking. She walks to and from things that are no less than 10 steps away. But while doing so, she much be carrying at least two things in her hands. She loves stuffed animals and her baby more than anything else. She now says Dad, Daddy, No, Ya, and Shh. She loves to play hide and seek, peek-a-boo, and chase.  And most of all, she loves to go to Target. (I honestly can say we go everyday.) She loves, loves, loves clothes and gets excited when we buy new ones. So excited that she carries them around and tries to put them on for a good hour afterwards.  She has grown so much in the last year and we just fall more in love with this sweet, quirky girl everyday. We are excited and nervous for what the next year will bring us with her! (We are dreading the tantrum stage--hopefully we skip it!) We love you Aubri Roo, and hope you had a wonderful birthday!

11 Months

We have been going non-stop the last few weeks. And it doesn't look like it will be stoping anytime soon. In addition to that, our laptop crashed so I snagged my Dad's laptop to just give everyone a quick update on Roo.

-She is so close to walking! She has taken 6 steps at most so far. She just doesn't want to get off those tip toes of hers.

-She is a babbling, talking little girl and goes non-stop. I like to call her hurricane Aubri because she can make the biggest mess in a matter of seconds.

-She claps, smacks her lips, raises the roof, plays catch, loves to play hide and seek.

-As far as talking goes, she says Mama, Dada, Ma (Austins main name she calls him, so funny.) More, and she has started to sign more, Mom and Dad. Just this morning she was working the the J and G sound...maybe she is getting ready to say Jenni? Or Grandma?

We just adore our little peanut. She has finally gained back her weight (She lost 2 pounds while she was sick for a while. Broke my heart.) She is becoming more and more alive.  We love her funny personality.. We are celebrating her first thanksgiving this week and her first birthday party on Sunday! We know it early, but December is just too busy with all the parties going on. Wish us luck that we surivie. We have some great things planned and can't wait to share!

Halloween 2012

Halloween was a busy one this year.   All of our friends are avid Halloween lovers.  This year was the first time we have ever  dressed up.  Neither are into it.  So we dressed up as a herd of cows. Pretty classic, right?

Aubri made the cutest calf ever! I couldn't resist putting a pink bow on her costume.
Aubri, Bre and Braylee. These girlies are BFF's and love playing with eachother.

Checking out eachothers costumes. Aubri was very skeptical of all the costumes.
Yesteryday, we had to take Aubri to the doctor. She got her second flu booster and was being checked because she has nothing but the runs lately (3-4 times a day.) Turns out she has lost 2 pounds, in two weeks and we put her on lactose formula for the next week or so. Thankfully, our wonderful pediatrician loaded us up on formula so we won't have to buy any for a while. Thank you Dr. Johnson!!  But between her stomach and the shot, she was a emotional and exhausted. So she was down for bed at 6:30.  At least she got to go to trick-or-treating at Austin's work party.

Aubri and Bray experienced their first bounce house party. And they loved it!! Aubri is a thrill seeker and this is her kind of "toy".  We hope everyone enjoyed their Halloween! Because we sure did. (We watched the Jazz game, GO JAZZ!!)

Jazz & Phil

Last Thursday my sister, Jenni, invited Austin and I to go to the Jazz game. Thanks to her and her hubby, Cordell, we scored lower bowl tickets--row 19! This was pretty much our few just a few seats higher. It was such a good game. Cantor was on fire!  It got us all pumped for the season. According to Cordell, this is the year baby.  Let's hope!

To my surprise, Phil was there from Modern Family.  I got so excited, we love to watch Modern Family, and Austin loves Phil. He's a hoot! Turns out he actually lives here half the year with his family. I so badly wanted to take a picture just of him, but my phone died (I always feel bad with how swarmed they get everywhere they go. I just wanted proof he was there.)  But there he is.

Probably the highlight of my week, just below Aubri taking 3 STEPS! She is dying to walk. I am thinking definitely by the time she turns 1--scary to think that.  She is such a peanut.

Good Eats

Pinterest has become my best friend lately. Actually, it has become the entire families new favorite thing. Particularly the food. I have made at least ten new recipes over the month and I would say they are all keepers. They delicious, easy and did I mention delicious? I just had to share these scrumptious recipes to everyone out there!

Avocado, Bacon, Cream Cheese, Green Onion, & Tomato Sandwich

I haven't tried that many desserts because most desserts made from scratch are super hard to convert to gluten free, and I am just not brave enough to try it yet. But I will probably break down and try soon. There are just too many divine looking desserts on there!

10 Months Old

Its crazy to think that in two short months, Aubri will be turning ONE. While we are ecstatic for her to turn one, we wish she would stop  growing up so fast. She already has 8 teeth! Can you believe that?  We sure can, I mean we do have the bite marks to prove it! (We have become her teething rings.) She would be walking if it wasn't for her twiggy little ankles. She loves to say Mama all day long. She is quiet the ham as well. She love to pester Aunti Em, and her Mama.  I don't know why, but she only does it to us. I do have to admit that Emma gets it a lot worse.  Her favorite food is yogurt, by far. She also loves homemade fries both sweet and idaho potato. She loves going on walks and playing at the park right by our new place. She has discovered that she has a voice and gets more talkative each day! We are just so in love with her.

On her 10 Month birthday, she woke up sick that night with the horrible stomach virus that is going on around. She just started feeling better yesterday, thankfully! Now, if only she would sleep through the night, it would be amazing. (We are starting to ferberize her tonight. While also sticking to a very strict routine daytime routine. If you have any tips, we welcome them!

Robin Egg Blue

As I mentioned on my last post, we've moved. We love our new place, and I am enjoying making it our home.  We painted our walls Baja Dunes by Benjamin Moore--I have an obsession with all of their paints. Its a soft gray/tan color that goes well with so many colors.  I painted our kitchen table the other day, and it just turned out perfect! Its close to a robin egg blue. Our kitchen/family room colors are robin egg blue, navy, and cream. With a pop of cranberry here and there. Its so nice and fresh. I am in love with it!

This colder weather makes it even more motivating to do crafts and be thrifty with our decor.  And no one can complain about that,  not even the hubby. Hope you are all enjoying this wonderful fall weather. I know we are!

P.S. If you have any ideas of what I can put next to our antique window, please share!

Life

We  have been insanely busy these last few weeks. When Aubri and I got home from Disneyland,we packed up the house and moved into our new place. We absolutely love it here. But with moving from one place to another, comes  unpacking and getting settled in.  I am still in the process of decorating it though. Its coming along great. We just bought a new couch and love it! I am also painting furniture, everything is coming along great and has that cottage feel to it.

On top of moving, I woke up Sunday with a swollen face, and went to the dentist the next morning. A week or so before, my tooth broke off (Having glass like teeth is a wonderful characteristic of Celiacs) And it had become infected. Well, to make a long story short, I had to go to an oral surgeon to get it removed and have been recovering since. While I haven't felt much pain, the pain medications are kicking my butt, things are looking up though.

Other than that, we are all doing wonderful! We love our wonderful new home and are looking forward to the holidays! (Aubri is going to be a kitty for Halloween, and who knows what we will be.) I promise to post picture of our house soon and all the other pictures we have taken over the last little bit. Until then, take care!

9 Months

I can't believe our gorgeous girl is now 9 months, and 1 week old.  She is developing more of her personality each day, and we love it!  She has a quirky side to her, there is no doubt about it. She loves to scrunch her nose at your and snort. She smacks and licks her lips. She has discovered her belly button and plays peek-a-boo with you by hiding behind something.  She loves our jetted tub, and is crawling maniac.  So far, she is has started to say Mama, Dada, Baba and Mo (more). She is also catching on with signing. She can sign all finished or done. But she also knows what each sign means. So far, she knows Mom, Dad, diaper, drink, food, more, all gone, bath, bedtime, and milk.  We are slowly adding in more signs as she catches on. She loves cats and dogs. Especially, Molly because she will tolerate Aubri pulling and grabbing on her. She still loves going on walks and is a Mama girl, through and through. I love it, but there are times I wish she would go to her Daddy too.

We had her 9 month appointment last week, and she is a string bean! She is in the 90th percentile for height and 35th for weight. She loves yogurt and bread from Kneader. Those are by far, her favorites, overall she is a fantastic eater and not picky at all. I can't complain about this age. I love how active she is and how she loves to play!  We love her and are having so much fun as she is getting older.

California-cation

This last week, Aubri, Jenni, Emma, my Mom and Dayna all headed down to Disneyland for a girls trip. It was a lot of fun, but I definitely won't be going back to Disneyland unless I have Austin with me.  As always, Disneyland was magical! Aubri loved Little Mermaid and its a Small World the most. We became VIP's on those rides, going over and over again.

Disneyland was all decked out for Halloween! It gets better every time we go! It was also 112* the last day we were there. It was miserable. Aubri and I were only there for a few hours because of the heat.

Little Mermaid--Aubri was in complete aww the whole time. She kept trying to jump out of the shell to get to Scuttle.

Waiting for the parade

Lunch on the beach

Aubri by far loved the beach more than Disneyland. More than anything, she was wanted to crawl straight into the ocean. She loved eating and playing in the sand. And she got so excited when the waves crashed, kicking and giggling.  Did I mention she was sucking the and off her fingers as we were walking away? Silly girl! It was a fun trip, but we are glad to be home and getting back into our routine. We already have a busy week ahead of packing and painting, as we get ready to move into our new place on Friday---I am beyond excited for this! I will post pictures of our new place, once we get settled.

Her

Aubri is my favorite little girl, ever. As she should be. She is a Mama's girl to the max. And I mean it. She clings onto me like a monkey, and only wants me. While I am completely flattered, it wears me out somedays. I just had to share this picture. I just love it! I am teaching myself how to use my Photoshop, and I personally think its coming along pretty good! What do you think?

Family Pictures

I had my wonderful sister-in-law, Sam, take our family pictures last night. And I loved how they turned out! She let me edit them since I am working on perfecting it and so is she. Tell me what you think:

Aubri seriously looks like my clone in all these pictures, especially this one.

I am still working on perfecting/learning  Photoshop--I am taking a class in a few weeks and can't wait! But I love the way these turned out. Thanks Chris and Sam for doing this for us! We couldn't have had Aubri looking at the camera if uncle Chris wasn't there to entertain.
